auggie eats: Pink Diner @ Lipa City, Batangas

    Yesterday, we went to Pink Diner Lipa City, Batangas. I saw their facebook page and I said, why not give it a try. This is just located near De La Salle Lipa, just walk past Caltex and you will see a statue of a pork and chicken. They serve grilled pork and chicken, sandwiches, desserts and freak frappes.

     For rice meals, their choices are: pork barbecue, grilled liempo, and grilled chicken. Since it was already lunch time, we chose the Grilled Chicken and Grilled Liempo which costs 99Php each.

     Look how big the serving of the chicken is! And the liempo also, although not clearly shown on the picture, has big serving also! Sulit!! Mapapa-extra rice ka! The chicken is very flavorful, you can taste the herbs, plus it is not dry! The grilled liempo naman, perfectly grilled, and the skin of the pork was so crispy!! Like that of a lechon's.

     We also tried their Freak Frappe which only costs 119Php. They have three flavors to choose from: Cookies and Cream, Strawberry, and Double Dutch. We opted for  the cookies and cream. My sister and I only ordered one frappe because we saw on the table beside us that one person cannot finish it, she only drank half of it. Or maybe depends on the person, right? hehe

     The freak frappe has one choco pinipig ice cream and a choco mallow. I love that it is not so sweet. Hindi ka mauumay agad. My sister and I finished this frappe and were both full because of the rice meals plus frappe.

Below is my verdict:

Food. The food was great. Very flavorful and cooked right. The serving is huge. Maybe the only thing that's lacking is the gravy, hindi ko siya maramdaman. I think it lacks flavor, maybe this is to not overcome the flavor of the pork and chicken. Medyo nakukulangan lang ako sa menu. I wish they have sisig, but that's just me.

Ambience. I think their resto can accomodate 30-40 persons. It might look small on the outside but on the inside, they have great interiors and arrangement. I also like the lighting inside, makes you feel relaxed.

Service. Super bow down to the service. The resto is full and ahead of us, a group of 10 persons ordered so iniisip ko matatagalan bago maserve yung order namin. But!!! Hindi ko pa tapos basahin yung mga sayings sa wall nila, biglang andyan na yung order namin! So fast! Not only fast, but with quality.

Price: The rice meals are very affordable, you can get a pork barbecue with rice for only 45Php. And yung pinakamahal na is 99Php. The Frappe has lower cost compared to other restos that serve this kind of frappe.

     One thing lang is they do not have parking space, I don't think they allow parking in front of the resto. Wala din ako nakita. So better yet park it maybe in Caltex? So there, try nyo rin. ^^
